Lisa has an honours degree in fashion design from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from the UCD Innovation Academy, where she started developing the concept, and was awarded best-in-class, for her presentation of Saturn Cottage Industries in 2020. She is an experienced administrator, designer, maker, writer, hiker, and teacher. She speaks English, Irish, and Japanese. She loves ice-cream and dusk is her favourite time of day.

Saturn Cottage Industries is my creative identity for crafting treasured items for homes and bodies. Using responsibly sourced materials - mostly fabric recovered from end-of-life textile products, Saturn Cottage Industries is informed by traditional craft skills and material reuse. A return to “cottage industry” is a slow antidote to runaway overconsumption. Professionally active from 2020-2023, Saturn Cottage Industries lives on as a headspace I can retreat to for creative solace and exploring textile art.
