This is a cropped jacket in solid black 100% Irish linen. It fastens with bright red buttons which are concealed in the button fly when closed. It has an easy-fitting versatile shape, with subtle femme shaping on the front. The softly structured yoke is lightly padded and hand-quilted with heavy cotton thread, and there are two side pockets and two small inside pockets. - Lisa

Materials

• Linen from Emblem Weavers (locally sourced new, natural)

• Batting (the soft insulating layer) is cotton (new, natural)

• Plastic buttons from the family button stash (vintage)

Techniques

• Hand-quilting - using a needle and thread to sew through multiple layers of fabric and batting (padding)

• Designed, cut, and sewn in Dublin

Use & Care

Linen is a natural fibre, and as such, often has slight variations in surface texture or slubs. Washing is tough on clothing, so wash only when necessary. That being said, this jacket is machine washable! Please wash at 30°, on its own or with similar colours, and air dry. To protect the buttons, wash in a laundry net or bag. It can be ironed or steamed.
